1 Gold, 2 Silver at National BJJ Tournament

This past weekend, four of our own Top Tier athletes traveled to Denver, Colorado to compete in a the Fight To Win National Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament with thousands of other BJJ fanatics.  All four competed very well and made us proud!

Ruth Mecham brought home a gold medal in her gi division, as well as a silver in the no gi division.  She went 4-1 for the day and grappled with some tough chicks.

Eric Mecham competed in both gi and no gi and went 4-3 for the day.  He brought home a silver in his no gi division, losing only to one of the advanced-level competitors.

Evan Dekok finished 2-2 for the day in the no gi division and finished about 6th in his bracket.

Gavin Manary finished 1-2 but was competing in the adult division instead of the kids' division due to an error in the registration process.  We have to admit, it was pretty cool to see him submit a grown man!
